Setting sail on a swashbuckling adventure, members of the current Magna Studios team delivered theming production for Animal Treasure Island at Gardaland Resort—an immersive reimagining of the classic dark ride into a pirate-themed attraction packed with charm, colour, and character. This work was completed prior to the formation of Magna Studios and reflects the team’s extensive industry experience.

Collaborating closely with the client’s creative team, the design and development of 67 unique animal pirate figures was undertaken, each one bursting with personality and crafted to enrich the storytelling throughout the ride. From mischievous monkeys to swashbuckling parrots, every character was first realised through detailed 3D models for design approval, ensuring alignment with the vibrant pirate world envisioned by the creative team.

Team members managed all 3D printer programming and production, fabricating each figure with high exactness and consistency. To meet the demands of an interactive, family-oriented attraction, steel armatures were engineered, detailed, fabricated, and installed within every character—each one carefully designed to withstand guest contact and comply with safety-critical standards.

Within the wider theming scope, the figures contribute to a richly themed, adventure-filled environment that brings the spirit of the high seas to life, capturing the imagination of young buccaneers and seasoned explorers alike.
